What should we wear?

This is, by far, the most common question I am asked. I have a two part answer. Part One: Wear what you feel your most beautiful self in. Don’t wear something for your shoot you wouldn’t wear in real life. Part Two: My personal strategy when dressing my family for shoots is to start with MY outfit and build the colors, look and feel around me. I find if I’m comfortable with how I look and feel, the shoot will start of feeling relaxed.

How do I know what package is right for my Family? Business?

Great question! I am happy to answer any questions you have about my offerings and how they line up with your family or business’ needs and dreams.

What if my kids or someone else in my family are not cooperating?

Family photos can cause anxiety and nerves, but knowing this and accepting it in advance can give you the opportunity to make a plan to manage any anxieties and make it a fun family experience. Before your session, I encourage you to walk through points from this BLOG POST with your kids and partner. Tell them what to expect and WHY you are doing this in the first place. During your session, please leave the directing to me. Most kids are eager to please and play fun games with me. If you’re stressed, they feel it. Likewise, if parents are calm and show them you trust me, they follow your lead there as well. I have worked with a lot of families and know the signs to listen to that tell us when to re-direct, take a break or try a new approach. After the session, view the gallery of images TOGETHER and talk about what they mean to you. This will create a culture of appreciation in your family for the priceless family heirlooms we will make together. Finally, remember there is beauty in chaos. Your session will capture you and your family as you are - that's the goal!
